Consignment Control
The FOP Stock Ledger is an effective
tool for the management of your stock.
You can now post your stock issues,
purchase orders, delivered purchase
orders, goods received, reserve stock,
stock transfers between locations,
and stock adjustments in a lot easier
way and generate instant stock status
reports and catalogue. A location
can be your warehouses, your reps,
sales/return agents, consignees, exhibition
stock or your depots. Basically any
place, person or company that has
your stock, is treated as a location
in the system.
Focus on Publishing provides a number
of routines to help you control your
stock wherever they may be. Goods-in
can be booked into any location and
stock transfer between locations can
be affected easily, with full audit
history recording.
The key to the success of Focus on
Publishing software is that we do
not have a negative stock figure situation,
as our invoicing process will not
issue out stock, if there is insufficient
stock. This is why the need for a
'stock lookout' form is not required
in our system, because in between
stock-takes, the stock reflected in
the computer system is assumed to
be 98% right. The normal procedure
is to use the minimum stock report
to monitor the acceptable levels of
stock at various locations.

FEATURES

the transfer of stock
at zero value between
locations. A location
can be a warehouse,
merchandiser, reps car
boot stock, or stock
being sold at an exhibition,
these stocks is treated
as your stock until
sold via the SOP module.
- Consignment
Documentation: The transfer
of stock to a merchandiser/consignee
is documented as Consignment
note or transfer note
or sale/return invoice.

meaning for this document.
- Status
of Consignment stock:
Stock transferred to
each merchandiser is
treated in the system
as your property, until
the merchandiser confirms
the sale, and an invoice
is raised for the quantity
sold.
- FOP
consignment module is
capable of loading the
sales in electronic
format for books sold
by a merchandiser/consignee.
This is suitable for
the merchandiser/consignee
who has the right to
set the selling price
and/or discount, which
will have been otherwise
painful to re-input
in-house.
- Location
Control system: When
merchandiser/consignee
makes a sale, sales
invoices are raised
directly from stock
held by the merchandiser/consignee,
thereby providing an
accurate stock balance
per location at all
times.
